"Story of the Hour"

Good Morning!

1.  Independent Reading -- I asked you to be ready to resume reading in class with the start of a new six weeks.  Please take this requirement of this class seriously and have deep respect for your learning by doing so.  Writing a book review should be an enjoyable activity and not a chore because you have invested something of yourself in the reading of the book you have chosen (or one would hope that).  I have an example of a book review to look at and correct.

2.  On Friday you handed in the assignment on "The Tiger and The Lady."  If you are absent on the day when assignments are collected, it is up to you to make sure you hand them in to me when you return from your absence.  How would you know if something was collected when you were absent?  Look on my blog or ask me the next day.  Do not wait until you see it missing on Powerschool.  If you can log onto Powerschool, you can certainly check my blog!

3.  "The Story of An Hour" :  For this story you will be writing questions for a Socratic Seminar discussion. (Two handouts).

HOMEWORK:  1.Questions on "The Story of The Hour"
                          2. Independent Reading
