1.  Independent Reading -- Today we will begin independent reading.  We will read for about ten minutes.

2. Wall Street Journal article.

 

3.  "The Sniper"  -- We will finish discussing your responses to the story, and I will collect your handout.  There is another assignment on "The Sniper" which is reviewing the elements of narrative in this story.  Work with your partner to successfully complete the handout.
