"The Interlopers"

 I hope that you had a great weekend!

1.  Independent Reading -- We will read for about ten minutes.

NOTE:Just reminding you about this again!

Hello 10^th grade English Teachers

 The district is having all 10^th grade students participate in the Junior Achievement Program. Point Loma High School will visit the JA site from October 5 – 12. 

2. Wall Street Journal --  Read the paper each day.  Article summaries will be turned in each Friday. I will give you a summary sheet today.

3.  "The Interlopers" -  We finished discussing this story on Friday and you completed questions for homework.  We will discuss, and you will turn in your annotated copy of the story, the handout on setting (10 details noted and responses), and the questions on the story.

HOMEWORK:  Read "The Story of An Hour."  Give it close reading.  Then write 4 open-ended questions for a Socratic Seminar discussion tomorrow.
