Good Morning!
1. Independent Reading -- We will read for about ten minutes.
2. Wall Street Journal article. I am modifying the article assignment to one news article summary a week. If there is strong objection to this, we will continue as we have been. You will receive a paper each day to take home. Personally, I have really been enjoying increasing my knowledge of current events!
3. Your description of setting: Group 1 & 2
Group 1: Joyful/optimistic
Group 2: Dark/pessimistic
4. "The Interlopers" -- You will be reading this story with a partner. Just as you have done with reading "The Sniper," you will pause after each paragraph and respond to the reading. Your responses will be recorded on your copy of the story next to the paragraph. In other words, you are annotating as you read. Annotate especially for the significance of descriptive details concerning setting.
