Please
put your cell phones completely out of sight for the FULL duration of
the class. Please do not have me remind you of this. NOTE: Please bring a book to class vs. reading a book on your phone.
1. Independent Reading -- Please read quietly for 10 minutes.
NOTE: The third book review for this semester will be an ORAL
REVIEW of the book. We will begin on Tuesday, January 24th
and finish on the day of the final (Period 1 will be on January
25th and Period 5 will be on January 27th). We will start on
Tuesday so we will be sure to finish on finals day.
2. Stephen's Speech -- We finished this speech yesterday, and I asked you to do a final reflection on the speech at the end. I would like you to share your responses which reflect on Stephen's purpose and overall point. I will collect your copy.
