Please
put your cell phones completely out of sight for the FULL duration of
the class. Please do not have me remind you of this. NOTE: Please bring a book to class vs. reading a book on your phone.
1. Independent Reading -- Please read quietly for 10 minutes.
2. Stephen's Speech -- First, number the paragraphs. We will annotate as we go along. In anticipation of the speech which has a very precise message, I have a question for you to answer:
*In your opinion, what is an important rule by which
to live and guide your life?
(I know this is a huge question!)
3. As we read, I will pause for you to reflect on each part. You will write your reflection in the margin next to the part.
