The grading period ends tomorrow, October 14th. Starting next week we will resume reading in class, and you will have chosen your next independent reading book. Remember that you are required to read a book from the recommended list -- the other two can be your choices. Go to the link on my blog for the annotated list of recommended books.
* In anticipation to the next story we will be reading, you will do some writing about a personal experience. You will write about something that you treasure or have treasured in your past. I have a HANDOUT for your response. Pursue your thinking as much as possible. I know this might be a little bit difficult.
HOMEWORK: Wall Street Journal summary. Write at least one half page. Summarize an article of substance!
