Good Morning!

 Please put your cell phones completely out of sight for the FULL duration of the class.  Please do not have me remind you of this. NOTE: Please bring a book to class vs. reading a book on your phone. 

We still have a few more debates to go. When we are done, you will make sure that you have shared your written part of the assignment with me.

1. Debate --Follow the format in the debate.

Period 1:
1.  The Death Penalty
2.  Marijuana's classification as schedule 1 drug
3.  Should there be stricter gun control laws?
4.  Should the KKK be allowed to march in a city-wide parade?
5.  Deportation of undocumented immigrants.
6.  Should it be "Black Lives Matter or "All Lives Matter"?
7.  Should transgender individuals use the restroom of their
     gender identity?
8.  Should we let Syrian refugees into the U.S.?

PERIOD 5 -- There should be absolute quiet when classmates are debating.  Please do not have me remind you of that today.  Debaters, your claims should be supported with EVIDENCE! You will receive a low grade if I see you talking off the top of your head!
