Looks
like I need to resume reminding students to put electronic devices
entirely away during class time. I do not want to see them whatsoever
while you are in class. The exception is when I specifically give you
permission to use your phone for accessing the internet for a
class-related assignment.

Independent Reading -- Please read for about 10 minutes before we get started.
2. Yesterday you received two handouts -- one on Elie Wiesel's life and one on memoir.
3. Night -- We will read the Preface and Foreword together and you will review the reading by responding carefully and thoughtfully to the questions (handout). I want you to work with a partner to discuss the answers.
