Today, as promised, you will have time to work on your book review.  The book review is due NO LATER than midnight tonight.

Please follow the rubric for the book review.  Once you post it on Goodreads, be sure to submit it to me by filling out the form on my blog.    

Tomorrow we begin the play, Twelve Angry Men.

2.  "Leopard Man" --  Complete Activity #11 on your response sheet.  Respond to just question #1 for Logos, Ethos, Pathos.  Complete the "Summary of Informational Text"  (handout).  Discuss in your group of four to complete this summary. I will collect.

Today, I will collect the packet, the copy of the text, and your response sheets.  Make sure that your have your name on ALL sheets.  Staple the text and the response sheets together with the text ON TOP.

HOMEWORK:  Independent Reading and Book Review.  You will have time on the Monday, November 30th to complete your review.

2.  "Leopard Man" --  We have read this essay twice and have annotated the text and have answered questions on the text.  We also did a descriptive outlining showing how the essay is divided into parts according to topics addressed.  TODAY, we will complete the second half of Activity #10 and then Activity #11.

LITERACY ASSESSMENT: Only a few of you finished this test yesterday because the netbooks were SO SLOW.  If you did not finish, please do so today.  If you have, please read your independent reading book or work on something else quietly.  Thank you for your patience!

The following are the directions for you to follow once you log on to your netbook. Go to my blog and click on the provided link below.

  2. Login with your district username and password, the same one you use to login to the netbooks. 
  3. You should see Pending Assessments on the right.
  4. Choose Literacy Interim Assessment -Grade 10.
